At 1:24 on 8 October, I spoke to someone in customer service she was very professional made me feel like I was being listened to an absolute pleasure to deal with. To follow through and explain to me whats the next steps are going to be and made me feel very Very calm because I was freaking out regarding this issue with a car that has only 86,000 miles on it

Blown head gasket with no warning , flawed design . Had .9 percent financing and got great deal of 12000 off price , turned into worst car purchase I ever made

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

One thing I've always prided myself on is car buying the reason is my very first card 18 years old I got ripped off and he always say you know what I have a calculator don't make me use it why am I paying $60,000 for this $12,000 car anyways, I would go to dealerships just to haggle and learn how to do this so over the years I have gotten very good pretty much it's you stand your ground never act like you really want or like the vehicle and tell him to put away the tic-tac-toe board. Now I'm going to tell you all a little secret so you ever buy a car and they can't find you financing and ask you to bring it back to work out a different deal, first of all that's BS because unless you're putting the substantial amount down what happens to your down payment that say 2500 that's a typical I guess I never paid down payment ever if I pay down payments cuz of paying half the car at least which leads me don't buy a car you don't buy a Honda Accord is that a car that you've wanted all your life and that's the one you're going to keep forever no it's one you want to trade in for a different one every 3 years buy a truck serves a purpose buy a sports car that you love and want to keep forever don't buy cars you want to trade in lease them buy them out to avoid the penalty then trade them in they give you the car for the price that you've paid during the lease I don't understand why people don't do this and I never divulged his information I don't know why but I learned this a long time ago lease it the amount that you pay you buy it for you owe nothing on those penalties and then turn around sell it turn it in anyways that down payment that you pay here's the thing you know how they find you different financing and worst case scenarios it's not a worst case scenario what happens is when they take that down payment, again as long as it's not a substantial amount that actually goes towards the price of vehicle, what happens is they already have secured several different financing for you they start at the highest end one so you give them that 2500 all that knocks it down to this price no it doesn't they just give you the alternative financing and that 2500 goes into commission pocket I don't know why people don't understand this and I like I said I usually never say this but my car buying days are about over anyways this brings me to the Jeep Grand Cherokee I nailed them during COVID they made the mistake of oh yeah I'm glad you're purchasing this we have been having issues getting rid of our inventory, I didn't read nothing yet anyways long story short 0.9% financing $12,000 off the vehicle 26,000 I got on the brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee probably the most expensive vehicle I've ever bought and yes I did purchase this one because kids, this was the car I planned on driving instead of my truck which I had to unfortunately get rid of anyways this vehicle is a utility vehicle I can haul stuff around, the wife drives it I drive a little Honda Civic that I got cuz those cheaper than driving my truck with no car payment because of gas prices in California anyways 3 months before I'm done paying on that little Honda Civic to give to my daughter Guy side sites me, as he put it, thought he could beat me onto the parking lot freeway, I wasn't racing zipper dude merge like a zipper simple concept and they say we evolve, anyways so now no car payment in 3 months looking forward to that possible 2 years early retirement taken away because, thought I could beat you, to the deadlocked freeway.

So anyways I go get car I plan on getting every time and I got to Camaro, I'm getting to my story but this just shows you what how detrimental this chain of events All because a guy tried to get ahead of me on a merge when it wasn't his turn, before I make the second payment on that Camaro I've been driving since I was 18 I'm 48 I've never been in an accident my fault I drive every day for government I'm trained highway patrol 3 second rule I'm super aware of every thing that's going around me I can tell you the license plate of the three cars behind me and the make and model of the 5 to 6 people who live with blind spots don't know how to adjust their mirrors 99% of the cars out there you can eliminate your blind spots you should only see the side of your vehicle if you tilt your head and either way towards that mirror otherwise you look in the mirror you shouldn't see your car if you do you have blind spots and you're not doing it correctly. I don't expect everyone to know this I am trained any small little things are never really mentioned anywhere unless you have to watch videos every year for 20 years usually the same one's anyways no accidents I get in that one where the guy thought he could meet me before I make my second payment on that Camaro red light and destroys my Camaro one thing about the Camaro my car was freaking destroyed literally walked away with one scratch the safety rating is 100% accurate five star, well I just had a Camaro for about a month luckily I got a good deal insurance pay me more than what I paid for that car even though I still took a loss with tax licenses blah blah blah I was able to upgrade it and get an RS Camaro I had gotten 14,000 for my Civic total loss because of airbag deployment not because car total loss and I don't like that term that they used because my total loss was 2 years early retirement and estimated $30,000 of no car payment that's my total loss I kind of feel like it's offensive that they call that a total loss it's not total loss it's a vehicle loss anyways, that 14,000 I don't want a big car payment I just planned on no car payment I put it all down on the Camaro we have the three-year-old Jeep Grand Cherokee, next day after money put down, the stupid little a light for their auto stop and start which don't let them fool you that light that system that shuts down when you're at a stop and heats up people it heats up restarting your car that is only so they can hit the emission and claims of miles per gallon that's all it is it does nothing else but actually causes well it causes damage as you will see so the wife does drive a lot we live in California we've been experiencing way hotter temperatures that's a lot of AC use, before 75,000 mi yes 75,000, in 3 years and yes that is a lot however maintenance everything done as should be per recommendation on time never delayed vehicle engine light on this was after I noticed a little bit of a sluggish performance thinking that well maybe it's just because I got the Camaro maybe it's just me because I'm driven a little while then I noticed that little a light for the auto stop start comes on that's weird look at that mean that's when the engine light thing came on a day later so reading report eliminating the other possibilities which was like starter whatever the only thing could be a spark plugs that explains the delay hesitation that I felt change spark plugs dealer recommend it dealer change engine light off perfect doesn't come back on perfect spark plugs a little early but a lot of driving first experience with Jeep. 2 weeks later and I'm sorry I apologize I actually this is when I got the second Camaro the spark plug change and then the down payment goes down it was the next day after that the engine light comes back on. Well what the *** the reading says misfire cylinder 3 thinking that the guy just didn't tighten down the spark plug take it back no there's oil in it, he has the manifold set to the side but unlike the first time this time it's a little propped up on one side, after he's looking to see what the *** the cause of this could be as all the gaskets seem to be fine on the top except each one had oil around it but cylinder 3 had oil in it.

I know a lot of things about nothing one thing I don't know is we'll put it this way the flux capacitor needs changed okay, anyways I'd learn what I don't know and I'm watching studying them figuring this out and oil starts dripping out of that manifold now that's weird yeah even I know the flux capacitor should not be leaking like that, he said take it to another mechanic just to check it out I don't want to take apart the vehicle to figure this out take it to the guy that you usually go to which I find a mechanic I've had them for 16 years take it over to him now I notice a little white cloud come out the tailpipe well that's not good when I was 20 years old not two world experience my little too fast too furious Honda Accord overheat it i put a cold water in it I know what the smell of a head gasket smells like when it blows it had a little bit of that smell however it was just one little puff straight to the mechanic who told me the same thing as the other mechanic that I took just to change spark plugs, funny there looks like there's a leak but there's nothing leaking you see the stain it looks like something would be leaking but we've checked everything there's nothing leaking however all signs point to a blown head gasket but there's nothing there that says that should have taken place there's nothing that would have led to a blown head gasket did you drive it overheat it nope not once the only thing that ever happened was the "a" light for the auto stop and start the needing spark plugs according to the code reader and the misfire and cylinder 3 2 weeks later here I am. He said well we're not Jeep experts we recommend just go ahead and take it back to the dealer cuz we don't want to take it part the engine and ruin any kind of warranty or anything you might have. Turn on vehicle straight to the dealer about 8 mi away, and noticed a slight rough idle at the first stop light corrected itself after that again something a spark plug would do if needed changed. Drop it off the dealership, the dealership purchase the vehicle, 3 years ago high-end vehicle, expensive vehicle great deal on this vehicle 2 was almost paid off due to the 0.9% financing I'm looking at two cars no payments 2 years of a retirement, now I have a car payment higher insurance cuz of newer car still get safe driver even know the two accidents, and now what's going on with this well apparently it has a blown head gasket the engine's binding and it won't start.

But I don't understand it just drove it here no problem no overheat misfire cylinder 3 spark plug and now I'm being told it has a blown head gasket the engine binding and it can't start. Wtf, 10,000 mind you I had to pay the $275 diagnostics to kick me in the nuts, 75,000 mi 3 years old the car the outside the interior if you were to market down as condition on resale excellent there's not a scratch there's nothing on that car the interior is immaculate the wife did a good job keeping it clean excellent condition all maintenance records in hand no issue to blown head gasket. Of course just out of warranty Jeep does nothing about it they're in a hurry to take it back cuz they know they can fix it and resell it at a profit so I ain't giving it to him yet they force me to bankruptcy I can't pay for that I just had to buy a new car I have other fees that came due, now I need two cars two payments I also because feeling that I did not need my credit for a while because I'm going to retire early I'm going to have two vehicles with no payments so I'm going to go ahead and consolidate my debt which I do not advise anyone doing you should never be in that position and the only reason I did it was because hey I'm going to get out of debt in 2 years because I have no car payments so now my credits hurt and I have to purchase two vehicles like I said luckily cash in hand very good at buying cars still got good deals on those Camaros but now I need another car and I just had to have credit checks and all this ran now my credits really not good again wife needs new car, I am not paying for the Jeep it's a piece of junk at this point and she doesn't feel safe with the kids driving and I don't blame her you pay a lot of money for a get what you pay for piece of junk car. Worst car I've ever owned I've had numerous different cars I take it back the worst one I ever had was the first year and the x one at the brand new Volkswagen bug set my driveway for 2 years it needed a flex capacitor anyways, it was actually a digital regulator on a alternator that was absurd it blew out an engine the first 2000 miles because the oil I don't know where it was going but it's pretty much it ran dry they disconnected the light I'm thinking anyways let's get back to this Jeep wants nothing to do with it I want to tow it so I go to the dealership who the mechanic guy he's was awesome he felt so bad for me after hearing my story tried to see if they would take the vehicle back and with a minimum loss and give me in to something else that didn't occur that wasn't in there budgets to make money anyways I left it there on a lot it's still there a lot this was August.

I'm sick of it I'm tired of the companies tired of the phrases, well it is what it is, what are you going to do, no one said life is fair, no these phrases are acceptance complacency because we do nothing and of course companies get away with this no one holds them accountable we don't hold them accountable *** we will go buy something to save a buck ,hey that's made by kids making pennies a week in a foreign country that is ridiculous why do we allow this, oh look what I bought I don't agree with what they do but I save five bucks. And just say it is what it is. When are people going to see what is taking place stop arguing and chasing your tails on your opinion based, right wrong in different don't matter their opinion, you're pushing your beliefs on other people sitting on freeways protesting for your opinions, again right wrong in different doesn't matter there's always going to be two sides of the fences no matter who's right who's wrong or what is right and or what is wrong the fact it's an opinion that you chase your tails over however something that brings us all together and something that we agree on we do nothing about the silent majority we do nothing and the funny thing is the ironic thing if we all stood together and did something it would change all that other *** to but we do nothing we'd rather bicker among ourselves and blame a politician blame one man we isolated down to yeah some of them are idiot's but how can we blame someone one person why we sit around and do nothing except getting great each other because of differing opinions. Anyways they told me that if I towed the car to my house I could do it voluntary repo however if I cannot tell it to my house regardless of if I'm standing next to the vehicle it is a repossession and is bad on my credit for 7 years, this part is what led me too say f it bankruptcy I don't care cuz I ain't paying them I'm not giving them my damn money for a product that come to find out is a flawed design I don't know if anyone knows this but I'm about to tell you something if you have a jeep or a Dodge what exactly happened and I figured this out on my own because somebody I know has a Dodge Durango which is the same setup as the Jeep I had have I guess and what led to this blown head gasket with no warning, anyways so I go to try and tow it The older gentleman driving me to the lot to go get it to lead the tow truck driver, one of those from the time when men still had balls says things how it is, well he didn't know how to turn the neutral newer car he didn't know how to get into neutral cuz you can't start it he didn't know where the little switch was so he called the youngster who took apart the panel there it is right there no problem that's understandable why I didn't know where the *** it was either anyways so he flips it it is now in neutral so the tow truck can tow it, wheels are still locked why are the wheels still locked I can't get it on my flatbed and said I don't give a *** it's going back to the Chrysler anyway drag it all the way to my house I don't care, he said that would be great and all but I still have to watch out for my company's liability understandable.

Car is still on that lot and the lady that I spoke with on the phone to come get it well she wasn't very nice one thing I call companies understand the person I'm speaking to it's not their fault I don't take it out on them and I even give a disclaimer my voice happens to raise or I get angry and say things it's not directed personally towards you I understand you are not the problem at your company you can pass me along to the CEO whoever's on that yacht and I'll gladly tell them what I have to say, anyways well now it's going to affect my credit anyway because I have to do a repossession because I can't tow it which is absurd so screw them bankruptcy why not get out of my debt by time it's off my record it'll be the year I'm ready to retire because that 2 years early is now out the window, because of that" total" loss which no I did not fake injury I do not do that, so there is no one fighting for me to get anything I lost back it's not an easy money grab for the loophole drawing doodling lawyers. All that being said screw jeep and they're crap product 3 years old 75,000 mi dead done can't drive needs $10,000 worth of work And you know what it was the worst vehicle I'll ever had just because of the cost of it you're paying for something that is in a higher end class then typical course seems like even civics are now priced at the high end I don't know anyways when I got the vehicle this way fully loaded Camry this is $10,000 more I consider that high end 3 years only. Now let's talk about the cause which I have not discussed to anyone this is the first time anyone other than my friends and everybody around me which I say about five people that I've told this to I'm about to tell you exactly what this is. So my friend has a Durango after I'd say I think 89,000 same thing he didn't have all the same equipment like the auto start stop thing but same thing out of the blue told him something was wrong with the spark plug next thing you know white smoke he didn't take it right away when the engine light came on because hey unless it's flashing they tell you it's not a rush just get it as soon as you can I'm just anal about it and then especially the wife driving it with the kids at any kind of warning sign I took it in immediately he drives it for himself he's not going to take it in immediately I wouldn't either I've had the same thing and my truck which happened to be a loose gas cap.

So what happens being that we live in California with the extreme temperatures because I forgot to mention the dealership also mentioned did you have a leak repaired it looks like coolant or some kind of water stain is on this portion metal underneath the engine, no no leak not a problem 3 years old remember I am vehicle yeah no problems at all none even when I drove it over here little hesitation that's it, so extreme temperatures, AC unit running, a lot of miles a lot of driving long enough that enough condensation from the AC unit drips down and causes your blown head gasket it's a faulty design which only rears its head if the AC unit is ran a lot and a lot of miles are driven. It's not going to happen in some places in this country where you can roll down the windows the ones 114 and it's 90 something at midnight yeah that AC is running and it's not turning off and the condensation is dripping and it is building and then eventually it hits in the right spot enough times and spark plugs, auto stop and start heating up those spark plugs problem, misfire oil in cylinder because now you've worn it out the underneath I forget what it's called the valve thing anyways now you have a blown head gasket the spots the looks like you have a leak but can't find nothing that was the water that was the coolant that was the water from the AC when it got hot it's stained no one knew it jeep is going to hear it but I wanted to let you all know first if you have this was a 2020 I don't know if they're all the same or what year they changed it but I do know my friend has a 2018 Durango that the same thing happened I would never figure this out if it didn't happen to him I'm a big common denominator guy what's the common denominator here hey looks like you have a leak in that Durango, last year and a half he got a job in LA he started driving twice as far to work sitting in traffic if you don't live in California and you seen those pictures of this is what it looks like in LA on Christmas Eve and you see all those brake lights that's not Christmas Eve that's a Tuesday night it's like that every damn day remember merge people can't merge out here they don't understand it's like a zipper one tooth after the other from each side zippers zips seamlessly without flaw quickly what happens when two teeth from one side go before they allow one from the other side, exactly it jams

Bad customer service

Jeep - Bad customer service
Jeep - Bad customer service - Image 2

By far, this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my 15 years of leasing cars. From the moment you call, you're put on hold indefinitely, and then they hang up on you.

I leased a 2021 Jeep from them, and while the car itself hasn't given me issues, the dealership's lack of care and responsiveness is shocking.Recently, I encountered an error message related to the auto stop-start feature, which, from what I read, often signals an impending battery failure. Considering my Jeep is only three years old, this was concerning. I called Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, explaining that this was an emergency and that I needed to bring my Jeep in for service before the battery died. However, instead of showing any compassion or urgency for a loyal customer, they told me I'd have to wait. This morning, just as I feared, the battery completely died.

Now, I'm unable to start my Jeep, I can't get to work, and on top of it all, I received a ticket for alternate side parking. This situation could have been entirely avoided if the dealership had cared enough to take my concerns seriously.Avoid this place like the plague.

Once my lease is up, I will never return to Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. This has been, hands down, the worst car leasing experience I've ever had.

FAULTY SEAT BELT EQUIPMENT ISSUE- 2017 JEEP RENEGADE LATITUDE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Sep 26, 2024

It hasn't been resolved. All I got was a small offer from Jeep to pay towards a large bill to replace faulty equipment in one of their vehicles.

Original review Sep 26, 2024
I purchased a used 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude in August 2023. Ive already had to replace the water pump, fuel pump and A/C compressor and it didnt come with a spare tire and rim.

Now I have two FAULTY seat belts in the back seat that do not work making it unsafe to transport my children; the Jeep dealership checked these and said the parts need to be replaced. I spoke with the Jeep Corporation about 10 days ago and they said there was no recall and for me to make an appointment with the dealership and have them request that the parts be paid via goodwill. Well, goodwill is through the Jeep Corporation, the equipment cost is $592 and with labor it comes to $701. Jeep is only willing to pay $245 toward this amount and I find this appalling!

I live in Arizona and the law requires that anyone under the age of 16 must wear a seat belt in the front and back seats of the vehicle and I regularly transport three children, 3, 4 and 12, who need to be strapped in properly to meet with this safety regulation. I have not been able to do this and have to borrow another relatives vehicle when they all must travel with me, this has been very difficult and totally inconvenient especially since I am still obligated to pay for a vehicle that has this safety issue. I feel that Jeep should pay for the entire cost of the equipment because this VEHICLE is THEIR PRODUCT and the seat belts are FAULTY equipment. I feel like they DONT CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF CHILDREN IN THEIR VEHICLE WITH THIS RESPONSE.

I bought this vehicle thinking it would be a wise purchase; I just cannot afford all the repairs I have had to deal with and now the seat belts, what else now? I feel this repair should not be my responsibility. I have already completed a pissed off customer complaint online and now sending this to Jeep. I have been asked to do a video interview about this problem to inform others, I should, and let people know just how Jeep really cares about their safety in their vehicles .

. . I do not mind paying for the labor but I feel that Jeep should pay for the replacement parts. And by-the-way when I called, they asked if I was the original owner, what is the difference?

It is their product and still on the market to resell so why should I be treated differently from the original owner?

What, Jeep does not treat individuals who purchase their used vehicles with the same respect and treatment? Makes no sense!

You or outside the warranty, Jeep owes you nothing. I would take any offer Jeep makes. Out of Warranty means you pay the bill .

Poor warranty response

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This review is for my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Problems started popping up approximately 2 months after purchasing new.

We will just concentrate on the Jeep Uconnect system. With in 6 months this system started having many radio and hard GPS issues to the point of completely not working, no mapping which also meant the map in the dash did not work even after a half dozen trips to the dealer (about 6 months) that tried everything except replacement until Jeep finally relented and let them replace the radio. All went well for about 8 months until this radio had the same issues. Since then, Jeep Customer Care Has been saying they will Take care of it.

They call and say they are working with software people to fix the issue and will get back to me in 2 days. Any where between 2 weeks and one time they took 2 months to get back to me. This has happened at least 6 times. The Jeep was taken to the shop many times for other issues and Jeep care has said they would look at it each time.

Always it was not looked at and a call would come from customer care with a new representative offering to help and the hide and seek would begin again. This is an ongoing issue with the Uconnect system to include the current model cars. This is the most glitchiest software I have ever seen. After this last visit they have successfully put off fixing the issues until a respectable amount of miles past the 36k mile warranty and deemed the radio to be bad and needing replacement, amazing timing.

They knew I had the extended warranty and said it will replace the radio. They stalled until the manufacturer warranty has expired to use the extended warranty that I had purchased. This, in my opinion, reeks of insurance fraud. How many others were put into this position so that Jeep did not need to warranty their mistakes.

As I stated there are many software issues on these Jeep products including backup cameras and power seats to name a few that can be fixed with the extended warranty that I paid for.

Unbelievable Attorney Generals in every state cannot see what is going on, putting consumers in this position of in my opinion of going along with this insurance fraud to get their vehicles fixed when the manufacture should be doing so. As I said, these issues with the Uconnect systems are in the current models as well and no fix is within site leaving you replacing defective radios with defective radios at your expense after your warrantys are over.

21 Rubicon 392 had the death wobble at 46000 miles. Took to dealership in OWASSO Okla and had the steering dampener replaced and was informed tires could be causing the issue.

I kept them rotated and balanced each oil change but hey I bit. Now they couldnt get it aligned so I was told it needed a bolt kit cause it didnt come factory with eccentric bolts. Took possession and immediately returned due to pulling to the right. Now it requires new adjustable control arms.

Mind you stock Jeep no mods! They replaced the control arms and now the front end feels like its about to fall out. Returned to dealership againstill in shop or should I say sitting in the lot for 4 months now. Fca is involved and dealership wont respond.

Amazing! $87000 vehicle and they cant get it right.

Jeep compass

I have a 2023 Jeep Compass Latitude VIN :3C4-NJDBN7PT-502472.

It has the ParkView rear back up camera.

It has always had the beep signal for when I back up and get to close to something. Also the Uconnect camera screen shows the back up lines that have the green, yellow and red zones.

The screen does show the direction lines moving as I back up and turn. However, I can get within 3 inches and the red lines do not extend or get longer to tell me I'm in the "no zone" for backing up and I do not get the signal that tells me I am to close to something. I took it to the dealer last Tursday to get it fixed. They could not figure out what was wrong and on the service ticket they wrote "vehicle not equipped with park assist, working normally".

I know I DONT have park assist.

But it still should show the red line getting bigger and the signal for getting to close like it has in the past.

What do I do besides go to another dealer or at least the dealer I bought it from which is not convenient for distance and all the roadwork detours.

The dealer in Lafayette wants to take it all apart to find out what's wrong and I'm not doing that. Is there something I can do myself?

Hi,

I bought my first Jeep Wrangler in 2019 and then a second Rubicon in 2020. After that, my 4 friends and I bought 2 Jeep Wranglers and 2 Gladiator Mojaves. However, all the dealerships refused to give me a referral bonus, even upon request.

Can I have a referral bonus?

Thanks.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Im searching for some assistance, after 5 and a half weeks without my vehicle, we still have no answers. I apologize for the length of this email but its imperative that you are aware of exactly what has been going on.

The vehicle that we are having issues with is our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee currently has 12k miles on it and was originally leased in June 2022;

Within the first few months of leasing this car it would randomly have some gentle shaking, I knew this was a problem but up until the events below it never threw an error code allowing for a visit to a service department.

I did call the Crystal Lake Jeep dealership in July 2023 regarding the shaking of this car but without an error code it did me no good.

August 12th- While going 70 on the highway, the car started shaking hard and uncontrollably.

The check engine light started flashing and beeping at me, this lasted about 10 seconds before it stopped.

About four minutes later this started happening again, this time lasting for closer to 15 seconds. At that point we got off the highway and took back roads home. We did not drive the car again until it was brought to the dealership.

August 15th- I brought my car to the dealership in Crystal Lake, Illinois where they ran the codes on this Jeep but I was told that the car had cleared all codes in an effort to fix itself.

The service advisor told me that they would still look over the car and do their best to fix the problem. They did make sure that I had a rental car as i do not have another way to get around.

August 24th- I received a call from Crystal Lake Jeep, they were unable to diagnose the issue with this vehicle and advised that I would need to come pick it up but if it happened again to let them know and drive straight to the dealership.

September 23rd- While driving on the highway the car began to shake heavily and uncontrollably again along with the check engine light coming on and flashing at us.

This time the check engine light did not turn off and the car did not stop shaking, we exited the highway right away and luckily we were only a mile from the Jeep dealership in Schaumburg, Illinois.

We had the service advisor run the codes on the car right away and we're advised that there were multiple cylinder misfires and the intake valve was stuck in a low position. These were not the only problems as the car sounds like a diesel truck, alluding to an underlying issue. We were told that the dealership would look at the car as soon as possible but even after we stated we did not have a way to get home, they were unable to offer us any kind of loaner vehicle.

The service advisor told us that we could call enterprise and pay for the vehicle out of our own pocket.

October 2nd- The dealership advised that they did complete a compression test and that there was a 50/50 shot that our engine would need to be replaced. We then asked for a loaner car but they were still unable to provide one.

October 4th- The dealership had already replaced the camshaft and rockers on my engine but the car was still throwing codes.

At this point we were advised that a STAR case was being opened. As of this date, We have been without a vehicle for almost two weeks. I reached out to Chrysler Capital and they told me that if the dealership was unable to provide me with a loaner vehicle that i should be given a new car.

A family friend then provided the phone number for Chrysler Corporate. I called over immediately and opened an internal case.

The call center representative was able to approve a reimbursement for $75 a day for a loaner car. I was told that I am being assigned to case manager that would be my main point of contact and I should hear back from her within one to two business days.

October 6th- Initial contact by the case manager was still not made so I called back into Chrysler and left a voicemail for my case manager named Carol. I then called the call center, who also tried to get Carol on the phone for me with no luck.

October 10th- Per the Service Advisor at the dealership, they were still trying to find a failure point and we're working directly with Chrysler. They already replaced the majority of the top half of the engine and the issue is still continuing, I was told that This is not a common problem.

He also stated that he was watching their rental fleet to see if they can get a car for us but was having no luck.

October 11th- I received a voicemail from Carol my case manager for the first time but when I tried to call her back, I got her voicemail again.

October 12th- Per the Service Advisor at the dealership, they were pretty sure my vehicle was good to go but wanted to test drive it overnight. They replaced the main computer (Power Control Module) on my car and thought that fixed the issued. I granted Approval for a Advisor to take it home as I wanted it fixed right.

October 13th- Per the Service Advisor at the Dealership, the car is still not fixed. He advised that he put in a request with Chrysler to have my engine completely replaced.

At that point he did call around to different dealerships within the state and was able to secure one for my Jeep, he was just waiting to approve this change from the Star Team.

As of this afternoon, I had still not made contact with my case manager. I did call her twice and left a message. On my third call I was able to get ahold of the call center, they were able to transfer me over to Carol. She stated that she was just transferred to my case and had no clue what was happening with my car.

At this point she was assigned to this case since October 4th. She tried giving me update about them replacing the camshaft and the rockers (Also October 4th). She also called the dealership while I was on the phone with her in order to tell me that the dealership was 6 weeks out on loaner cars. Carol also mentioned that depending on how long this continues, they might be able to reimburse my car payment.

At this point i asked her to escalate this up and get me a new car because a 2022 with 12k miles should not be having these issues.

October 17th- I requested an update from my case manager Carol but instead I received an e-mail and a voicemail from a new case manager named Janaysia.

She told me that my case had been switched to her. I asked her when we could schedule a call and did not hear back.

October 18th- Per the Service Advisor at the Dealership, They are still waiting on the Go Ahead to replace the Engine.

October 19th- I received a call from Carol telling me she had no new information and my escalation to buy back my Jeep had been declined as its not warranted. The new case manager Janaysia also called to tell me that she had no updates and that they were replacing the Power Control module (October 12th) on my Car.

October 23rd- Per the service Advisor at the Dealership, Chrysler wants them to do a fuel system service now and to test the gas.

I then spoke with Janaysia- she had no idea what was going on with my car and tried telling me that Chrysler was not ready to replace my transmission. I informed her that my engine was having problems not my transmission.

At this point i asked for my case to be escalated again to get me a new car. She told me that I would hear back from her within two days. This conversation did get very heated out of frustration and since i had been without my vehicle for a month at this point.

October 27th - Per the Service Advisor at the Dealership- It has been radio silent from the Star Team.

I never received a call back from Janaysia so I called and got her voicemail. After I was finished leaving her another voicemail, I called back into the call center and requested to speak to a manager.

I was informed that they could not transfer me to a manager due to the nature of my case but they could get my case manager on the phone. I made it clear to the representative that I did not want to speak to my case manager at this point due to all of the issues listed above. I was told that a manager was not available to speak to me and it would be 1-2 business days before I could talk to anybody. I stated this was unacceptable especially with everything I've been dealing with and I don't care if it's my case manager's manager but I need to talk to somebody.

The customer service representative said they would note the file and hung up on me. After I picked my jaw up off the floor I proceeded to call the call center again. This time I explained everything that I have in this e-mail yet again and asked to speak to a Manager. She asked me to wait on hold and after 5 minutes I was informed that nobody was available to talk to me.

The representative then stated that somebody would call me back within one to two business days. I still have not heard from a Manager. About an hour after this call, I received a phone call from Janaysia and not a Manager. She had nothing of value to inform me of other than the fact that my escalation for a buyback on my vehicle had been declined yet again and that she was trying to get the district manager involved in this case.

October 30th- Per the Service Advisor at the Dealership, he was able to get the District Manager involved who then reached out to the Star Team.

I also called Janaysia and reached her voicemail yet again, so I left another voicemail asking for my case to be escalated yet again due to the 30 day lemon law in IL.

October 31st- I had not received a call back from Janaysia, so I called to leave her another voicemail but was informed that my case was transferred again. So I left my new case manager a voicemail. When I called the call center yet again, I was informed that a manager switched my case manager on me because I was not happy with Janaysia. I was also told that i should have already been contacted by a manager before this change was made.

I explained everything that has happened again to the call center representative and requested yet again that my car be bought back since I have been without my leased vehicle for 5.5 weeks at this point. She said that she was noting my file and I should hear back shortly.

A few hours later I received a call from my 3rd Case Manager named Amarion. She was just assigned to my case and didn't know any of the back story even though the file should have been noted 20 times over at this point. I did take the time to tell her everything that is listed above and she told me that she would have a manager contact me.

She also kept asking me where my car was now .

it's been at the jeep dealership since September 23rd.

This is the second vehicle that I have leased through Chrysler and am mortified at how this situation has been handled. Not only have they left me stranded at the dealership, had extremely poor communication and customer service but they want me to keep paying on a vehicle that is obviously a lemon.

I still have not heard from a manager and do not see a resolution to this situation any time soon!

IMPORTANT!! SAFETY ISSUE - FAULTY SEAT BELT BUCKLES - 2017 JEEP RENEGADE LATITUDE

Original review Sep 12, 2024

Two of the three seat buckles just stopped working and no longer clamp in place. The Jeep dealership said I would have to pay for the replacement clamps and I don't think that I should because that is a safety hazard.

I had my jeep in for an AC compressor replacement recently and they installed a new fuel pump that was on recall. I understand that Jeep has a recall out for the front passenger side seatbelt of a Renegade, not sure which year, but nothing for the back seat of any Renegade. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS . .

. I have two small children, age 3 and 4, who need to be strapped into car seats and now I can't take both of them with me because it is not safe. I'm concerned that the third buckle will just stop, why this problem at all? I want Jeep to replace these buckles for free.

I am working with Moore Jeep in Peoria, Justin is my service person and he can be reached at 855-648-****. I'm really not happy with this vehicle. One month after I purchased it the water pump, battery, and one tire had to be replaced.

And I'm having to purchase my own spare tire as it doesn't have one and I didn't know that when I bought it. Jeeps don't come with a spare and a jack?

Preferred solution: I would like Jeep to pay for the parts and repairs to my back seat. I would also like Jeep to pay for someone to put the back seat parts on in a way that they stop popping off. It's like I bought a junky vehicle.

User's recommendation: Request a recall and have Jeep either pay for replacement or reimburse if you had to pay for this replacement.

Jeep - Worst customer service - corporate does not respond 800 992 ****

This is going to be a long detailed review . I Own a 2022 Jeep Trail Hawk - bought it brand new in 2023 and have only 6K miles on it.

Started to leak oil all over my drive way on March 12 , 2024 . Called my dealership (Westbury Jeep) they said they were extremely busy with 16 emergency cases before me and plus their appointments and it would be days until they can even look at my car. They offered to have my car towed to them. I requested a Loaner car and they said, they are out of loaner cars however gave me a number to call 800 992 **** where I spoke to Sajin, explained that I need a Loaner - he said that I can rent a car and be reimbursed, if it is deemed a warranty issue.

he took my information and said someone would call me back in 24 hrs with a case # . and give me the ok or not to rent a car. After 24 hours I never heard back so we rented a car from Enterprise . I called the 800 # again and spoke to someone else named Seth , I asked why nobody called me back - he said 24 hours means after the first 24 hours someone would call me back- I replied so you mean 48 hours .

He said no 24 hours after the first 24 hours - UGH !! He did give me a case # 8928**** said Brooke is my case manager and would call me back in 24 hours . I called back after 24 hours (as nobody called me ) I spoke with Rein - she said my case manager is not Brooke it is Vaneisha and Brooke is Brooklyn her supervisor. She said she will leave a message with Vaneisha to call me back.

24 hours later never got a call back and Vaneisha and you can not leave Vaneisha a message. I asked if I could speak with Brooklyn they said no she was not available . Anyway fast forward - never heard From Vaneisha I called back a few times asked for any manager I was told no. I looked up other phone numbers to call Corporate every number I found when you call it brings you back to the original number I called - Finally Vaneisha called me back AFter my car was fixed and the rent car went back- she told me she was in a car accident and was out for a month.

I told sorry to hear that - but why would they assign people to her if she was out? She said just send her pictures of the Enterprise bill and Jeep work order - which I did while on the phone with her . She said she would call me back in 24 hours. Never happened.

I emailed and called her (can not leave messages ) as I wanted to make sure I was getting back my $410 for the rent a car. Finally she picked up my call on 3/22 - 10 day ordeal - that I will get reimbursed (could take 2 weeks ) and If I can stay on the line to leave her a review and she would appreciate a good review- I laughed and said you do not want me to leave you a review and I would leave on after I get my $$ . Got my Check yesterday - and I am now leaving this review - WORST CUSTOMER EXPERINCE I EVER HAD - NO CALL BACKS, COULD NOT SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR , COULD NOT LEAVE A VM MESSAGE , NO REPLY TO EMAIL , COULD NOT GET TO CORPORATE , NO ONE CARED OR TOOK OWNERSHIP .

I am a SR Director Of Customer Service team of 100 people and we would never treat our customers like this . Dealership besides not having the loaner car did everything right - they called me and checked in on my - But they can not help with Corporate Customer service team - I hope I never have an issue with my Jeep where I need to do this BS again
